3. Data Storage & Security
- • Local Storage: All dog profiles, medical records, and analysis history are stored locally on your device using iOS User Defaults and secure file storage.
- • Photos: Stool sample photos are stored in encrypted local file storage with iOS Data Protection.
- • API Keys: Sensitive credentials are stored securely in the iOS Keychain.
- • No Cloud Backup: Personal data is NOT transmitted to OpenAI servers or stored in the cloud (except as described in section 4 below).
4. Third-Party Services
- • OpenAI API: When you perform an analysis, stool sample images are transmitted to OpenAI's servers for AI processing. OpenAI processes the image to provide health insights, retaining this data for 30 days or longer as required by law. No personal information about you or your dog is sent to OpenAI.
- • Data Transmitted: Only the stool sample image is sent. Dog names, medical history, and personal data remain on your device.

5. Data Sharing
- • We do NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
- • We do NOT share your data with third parties except as required for core app functionality (AI analysis via OpenAI).
- • You control data sharing: You can export analysis results as PDFs or share them voluntarily using iOS share features.
6. Your Rights & Choices
- • Access: You have full access to all data stored in the App.
- • Deletion: You can delete dog profiles, photos, and analysis history at any time through the App's settings.
- • Export: You can export your data as text and PDF reports.
- • Opt-Out: You can stop using the App at any time, and your data will remain on your device unless you delete it.
7. Children's Privacy
- • The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age.
- • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
- • If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, please contact us immediately.
8. Data Retention
- • Your data is retained on your device until you choose to delete it.
- • OpenAI services retain data for 30 days or longer as required by law. OpenAI may retain your Personal Data for only as long as needed in order to provide their Services, or for other legitimate business purposes such as resolving disputes, safety and security reasons, or complying with legal obligations.
- • Uninstalling the App will delete all locally stored data from your device.

- • File Protection: Photos and sensitive data are encrypted using iOS Data Protection API.
- • Keychain: API keys and credentials are stored in the secure iOS Keychain.
- • No Network Storage: Personal data is never stored on remote servers.
- • Local Processing: All data management occurs on your device.

- • Updates will be posted in the App with a revised effective date.

11. International Users
- • The App is designed for use worldwide.
- • Data processing occurs on your local device and via OpenAI's API (see OpenAI's privacy policy for their data handling locations).
- • By using the App, you consent to the transfer of images to OpenAI for AI processing.
12. Subscription & Payment Information
- • Payment Processing: All subscription and in-app purchase payments are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment information (credit card details, billing address, etc.).
- • Subscription Status: We track your subscription status locally on your device to provide appropriate app features.
- • No Financial Data: We do not collect or store any financial or payment data. All payment transactions are handled exclusively by Apple.
